Working Together

The lotus rises from the mud.
  • Our work is based from a natural implementation of duality. I use logic and common sense combined with intuition and empathy. The process helps you tap into the power of both your conscious and unconscious minds.
  • In the office, an informal, comfortable place is provided. By phone, be in your own comfortable, quiet place. I hold a safe, confidential space to share and process for every client. Every client is honored and respected.
  • You are regarded according to where you are coming from, according to your agenda for yourself. You are not evaluated, judged psychoanalyzed or diagnosed.
  • I believe all of my clients are awesome. I focus on your strengths and abilities - and being on your side.
  • You are listened to and heard thoroughly. Some people say they feel better after being able to vent to someone. As well, I am very pro-active, your ally who is straightforward with you. You want results - so the process that pulls you toward the goal ensues.
  • We have fun too. Humor is seriously important in life.
  • Your session is a special, focused time for you, for the change you want in your life. It’s important to be fully engaged and ready to participate. Note-taking may be helpful. Be ready to do required tasks that that you agree to. Remember, avoiding your coach if you haven’t done your “homework” doesn’t help you!
  • I don’t suggest you come into the coach/client relationship with a plan for the coach. Let’s focus on teamwork instead of trying to order from a menu.
  • We do not bill clients or extend credit, unless arrangements are made ahead of time with corporate groups.
  • Cancel/reschedule policy: I work by appointment only. Please call us or email 24 hours before your session if you can’t make it.
  • Late policy: Please call ahead to tell us if you are running late, or leave a message. If the schedule permits, I’ll wait for you. If we don’t hear from you by ten minutes into the session, we’ll assume you aren’t going to be present.
  • Feel free to contact me via email or phone to schedule an appointment after reviewing your chosen areas of this website. Or, contact me for a free 15 minute phone consultation to see if and how I can help. Taking this action may change your life.
  • I am not a medical professional. The work I do is complementary with medical, naturopathic, psychiatric treatment.

FAQ

Do you have a Coach?
I do. I appreciate the different life experience, outside view and serious collaboration my coach provides for me. It helps me to see things in different ways, inspires me and assists me with developing concepts and arriving at solutions that I feel are best for me. It truly is a partnership I benefit from in many areas of my personal life and career.

How is coaching different from consulting? Therapy? Sports coaching? A best friend?

Consulting: Coaching could be considered by some as a form of consulting. But the coach stays with the client to help implement the new skills, changes and
goals to make sure they really happen.

Therapy: Coaching is not therapy, although for some clients, the two work well together in a complementary way. Coaches don't work on "issues" or focus on the past. We help the client move forward and set personal and professional goals that will give them the life and experiences they really want.

Sports: Coaching includes several principles from sports coaching, like teamwork, going for the goal, being your best. But unlike sports coaching, most professional coaching is not competition or win/lose based.

Best friend: A best friend is wonderful to have. But is your best friend a professional without bias who you will trust to advise you on the most important aspects of your life and/or business? Have a best friend and a coach.

So, is your life completely together?
My life is a process, a path.  My life will never be “perfected”, nor will I. I accept and appreciate that I am an evolving human being with strengths and weaknesses.

How can you be an example for me?
I don’t suggest to anyone that they use my life as an example of the way things should be for them. We are all so very different and come from different places. I don’t compare my life to others nor do I encourage anyone else to. It’s my belief that this is a trap that can be very oppressive and discouraging. I also believe that despite appearances, we never know what a person has gone through or is truly going through in life unless we are them.

Is this service new?
No, it is not. Individuals and companies of all types have been benefiting from this profession for decades. There are tens of thousands of those who coach in over 70 countries.

What would I need to do to work with you?
I cannot emphasize enough: the results are up to you. With hypnosis, various types of coaching or other techniques, you have to be willing to allow yourself to fully take advantage of your sessions.

Be open-minded. It’s difficult for one to learn that which they think they know all about. Be very willing and open to the change in your life. Be ready to be aware, to realize, discover and resolve, at your pace. The process is powerful and should be very rewarding and positive for you, though it will take effort, focus and dedication on your part. I will probably encourage you to be patient with yourself and the process.

I ask that you be completely honest with me, even in areas where it has been difficult to be completely candid with yourself. However, if you do not want to talk about something, feel free to let me know. Usually clients are very straightforward because they’ll benefit from being fully engaged in the process.
